So its Saturday night. What else is there to do besides hang out with friends?? First I went to the basketball game with the Best Buddies and some other friends. Afterwards Tanner Bernhard and I decided to see if they needed some more help with the follies backdrop. They did, so we left to change and then came back. We finished the backdrop at about 8:30 (and might I say it looks awesome!!). Randomly Ruby Tuesdays was brought up during our painting. It sounded good to some of us so we decided to go, the only thing was it was now 8:45ish or a little later, I had to get some gas, Ruby Tuesday is all the way across town so it takes atleast 15 minutes to get there, and to make it even more complicated I had to be home by 10!!! Little did I know I would still have an amazing time.
First of all I had to park all the way at the end of the parking lot! It was possibly the farthest spot away from the building! Anyway, we sat down (Me, Tanner, Elaena, and Katelyn) and ordered. After we ordered Katelyn asked the waitress if they took debit cards. We had told her yes about a billion times already but she didn't listen and asked anyway. OF COURSE THEY TAKE DEBIT CARDS!! Who doesn't?!?!?!?!?! We put a rush on our order since I had to leave. Well apparently RUSH doesn't mean anything to waitresses. We had to ask another waiter to get our waitress to bring us our drinks. Our drinks should be there right away! We finally get our food and I have about 10 minutes to eat before I have to leave in order to get home in time. Luckily all I ordered dessert. Unfortunately Katelyn is riding home with me and ordered an entire meal!!!
The next major thing was that when we got a take home box for Katelyn she didnt' know how to put the food in the box. We litteraly sat there for like 5 minutes trying to show her how to put the food in the box. Her excuse was "I am usually with my mom and she does it for me". Katelyn later explained to me that when she does put stuff in a food box, its always easy stuff like chicken wings. Katelyn.
After the take out box incident we were paying our seperate bills. When Katelyn grabs her bill, she immediately asks what the pen was for. My response was, well you have to sign it. She about jumped out of her skin when she found that out! Katelyn had never payed for her bill by herself at a sit down restraunt before so we had to teach her where to put her card in the little black check holders. Then when we got it back we had to show her how to write out her tip. About half way through explaining it she gave me the little black thing and i had to write it for her. Then she sorta wrote her name before giving the bill back to our waitress. But she left the card in it! She asked the waitress if she got her card back. The waitress just kinda looked at her and said "Yea, if you take it."
To make the whole night better the whole time we were at the restraunt we had to tell Katelyn to keep her voice down. She doesnt really have an inside voice. And to make it even better, I went in cut off sweatpants and a t-shirt to this nice, kinda fancier restraunt. Awesome.
Well all in all it was an awesome night! If it weren't for Katelyn I think sometimes life might be kinda boring. Thanks Tanner, Elaena, and Katelyn for an awesome and most likely unforgetable night. Until next time, Exit Stage Left.
Ooh Katelyn . . . There isn't a whole lot to say because I wouldn't expect anything else from Katelyn. She is so random but she would make things very interesting!
ReplyDeleteThat night was awesome!!!!!And now I have mastered the skill to eating out with a debit card! But me asking if they had a debit card is ok to ask. Our first experiance at Ruby Tuesdays is sooo great, especially when we ate in 10 minutes and left early. I need to try the salad bar as well!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a very interesting Saturday night. I hear Ruby Tuesday is ridiculously expensive and I don't think it's really worth my time. I usually have no money so I guess it's a good thing I haven't gone yet.
